Original Viking-Herring has been one of Sweden's most popular lures for over 50 years and is a must-have in a well-stocked tackle box. It is made of brass, has stainless steel split rings, and a treble hook from Mustad; all materials are of the highest quality to resist saltwater corrosion.
It is designed for long casts and the secret lies in the unique bend of the lure. The centre of gravity is perfectly balanced, which means that during a cast, the lure flies straight through the air without tumbling.
Original Viking-Herring is renowned for salmon fishing and for most other game and predatory fish. Available in weights of 7, 10, 13, 15, 18, 22, 28 and 40 grams, a wide range of colours and is lead-free according to test results.
Did you know: Every Original Viking-Herring is bent manually one by one, just as it was done 50 years ago, in separate bending tools. This incurs an extra cost, but nothing is allowed to change the shape that is unique to this classic.

Hook size is denoted by a number. The higher the number, the smaller the hook. Size 30 is a tiny hook, 4 is significantly larger. If there’s a zero after, e.g., 2/0, it’s even bigger.
