Westin Monsterfly 22 cm [44 g] is a modern version of the classic Monsterfly from 2009 – now stronger, more versatile and optimised for both spinning and baitcasting reels. The oversized ABS head with a golf ball pattern pushes water and creates turbulence and bubbles that trigger predatory fish from a distance. The unique material mix of deer hair, tinsel, rubber skirt and synthetic fibres provides high visibility, long durability and minimises hook tangles.
Monsterfly can be fished straight out of the package – just watch out for the hidden single hook. Fish it slowly in shallow water or add a switch weight for deeper and faster presentations. With a heavier sinker, the bait can even be jigged along drop-offs. Thanks to the split ring, you can also switch to any shallow-rigged soft bait.

Fish species
Here, we’ve categorized the products based on which fish you want to hook. We’ve relied on what manufacturers specify, but also on experience of what usually works. The list could almost be endless, and many things work for more species than we’ve listed, so don’t be afraid to experiment.
Pike, Zander
Family
Refers to which product family the product belongs to. In many cases, there are matching reels and rods within the same product family. These items are designed to work together.
Hook size is denoted by a number. The higher the number, the smaller the hook. Size 30 is a tiny hook, 4 is significantly larger. If there’s a zero after, e.g., 2/0, it’s even bigger. The higher the number before the zero, the larger the hook. We have a range from the smallest hook, size 30, to our largest, 18/0.
