Ice fishing lines

When talking about ice fishing lines, one often refers to a nylon line. It withstands cold without losing strength and does not freeze as easily. A nylon line is also stretchable, which can be an advantage if fishing in shallower waters and catching a bigger fish. Another advantage of nylon line is that it is resistant to abrasion against the edges of the hole when battling a big fish. However, if fishing in deeper waters, a braided line is often preferred. It is stiffer so you hook fish much better at great depths. But the major drawback is that braided line absorbs water and thus freezes more easily.
