Survival suits

If you fall into water that is only a few degrees warm, you won't last many minutes before you get hypothermia (severe cooling with body temperature below 35 degrees). In these fishing situations, you should be equipped with a survival suit. Such a special suit is thermally insulated, waterproof, and buoyant. Often equipped with a whistle and a light. If you end up in cold water with a survival suit, it should provide at least six hours of protection against cold water shock and hypothermia.
