The latest model truly lives up to the name AIRITY and is officially Daiwa's lightest traditional spinning reel ever.
The AIRDRIVE ROTOR is the most noticeable difference in the 23 AIRITY, with the new rotor's sleek lines and smooth design providing easier start-up and smoother reeling even under heavy loads. The AIRDRIVE BAIL is a tubular hollow one-piece bail arm evolved from Daiwa's original AIR BAIL design. The AIRDRIVE BAIL is lighter and thinner than previous models, further reducing inertia on start-up and delivering truly refined reeling. The AIRDRIVE SPOOL has also been mounted, still featuring Daiwa's renowned Longcast ABS spool lip, but is now lighter than before, reducing the force required from the oscillation system to move the spool up and down, resulting in lower resistance during reeling.
Finally, the AIRDRIVE shaft is concealed inside the MQ body and is doubly supported by special collars inside the pinion gear, further reducing friction and minimizing power loss through the reel's drive system. Ensure that all effort you put in is transferred to the line back onto the spool during a tough fight. The MONOCOQUE (MQ) body remains from the previous model, crafted from a single piece of treated magnesium, the MQ body on the 23 AIRITY is incredibly light and supports a TOUGH DIGIGEAR drive system that is both forged and machined from a highly durable alloy to deliver smooth and reliable performance for many years to come.

Refers to which product family the product belongs to. In many cases, there are matching reels and rods within the same product family. These items are designed to work together.
Refers to which line is primarily suited to the product. The most common types of lines are braided lines and monofilament lines.
Braided, Mono
Reel handle side
This indicates which side of the reel the handle is on.
Right, Left
Line included
Whether the reel comes with pre-spooled line or not. If the line is included, just unpack your gear and start fishing!
Not Pre-Spooled
Spool material
Refers to the material the spool itself is made of.
