Garmin Panoptix PS31 Forward

Description

With the Garmin Panoptix Forward, you can see the bottom, structures, and fish swimming around in front of the boat – in real-time even when the boat is stationary. You get two impressive views: LiveVü Forward and RealVü 3D Forward.

LiveVü Forward updates the entire view with a single ping and has an appearance more like real-time imagery when displaying moving sonar images in real-time. You can see fish swimming towards or away from the boat. You can see small fish and big fish swimming around, and even your lure as you reel it in.

RealVü 3D Forward updates a slice of the 3D area for each ping and takes 1–4 seconds to update the entire sector. It shows the bottom and fish in the water column coming towards the boat. It sweeps forward, and the screen history only contains one sweep.

Trust what you see
Garmin is the first to provide sonar images from Panoptix to your boat. The Panoptix sonar sees everything and looks like nothing else you've seen. It gives you the ability to see around the entire boat in real-time. You can see fish in the water column in 3D. You can also see the lure you've cast into the water and follow it as you reel it in. You can see fish swimming in front of or under the boat. You can even see them chase your lure. But to truly understand Panoptix, you must experience it. Transom mounting kit for transducer included¹.

¹The forward-facing transom transducer should be mounted in a location that is above the waterline at speeds over 32 km/h (20 mph). If it is below the waterline, speeds over 40 km/h (25 mph) should be avoided. The transducer can create drag and may splash at higher speeds, potentially causing the transducer element to rotate in the mount. Mount the transducer securely in a safe location on the boat. Be careful with the placement to avoid damage to the boat. If in doubt, contact a professional marine installer.
